More Miles By Ambulances
The ambulances at the Christchurch sub-centre of the St John Ambulance Association covered more miles, but carried fewer patients, last month than in either January or December of last year. A total of 2189 patients—--113 of them the victims of 73 motor accident—were carried last month compared with 2236 in December and 2232 in January, 1969. The combined mileages of the ambulances last month was 12,338, 154 more than in January of last year and 11 more than in December.
The vehicles also attended 67 miscellaneous accidents last month, compared with 77 the previous January and 79 in December.
Mr M. D. Reidy, senior deputy registrar at the Christchurch Magistrate’s Court, has been promoted to registrar of the Otahuhu Magistrate’s Court, Auckland.
