1026 Leave In Nine Months

In the nine months ended December 31, 1969, 1026 people left New Zealand, according to figures issued today by the Government Statistician (Mr J. P. Lewin). This was lower than for the same period of the preceding years—s 639 in 1968 and 8422 in 1967. In December there was a net population gain of 4330 from total external migration, compared with a gain of 3785 in December, 1968, and a loss of 1673 in December, 1967.
