“Pop” For “Gallery”

The convention, at Swanson, will last Saturday and Sunday, and a crowd of 20,000 la expected to attend. The “Gallery” producer Des Monaghan says the programme will concentrate on the sights and sounds of the convention, with the emphasis on the sights. Much of the music will be heard, but the principal aim is to capture atmosphere. "We want to look at the kids and see exactly how they enjoy themselves,” said Monaghan. The principal performer is

Robin Gibb, a former leading member of the Bee Gees. He will make one appearance each day, and has flown from London for the performances. There are, in all, more than 40 acta; the film is expected to run for about 25 minutes.
