All parts now stored at Hereford Street, Hastings Street and Ensors Road will be concentrated at Hornby in a modern store of 20,000 sq. ft. In early 1971, 11 of the company’s branches will be “on line’’ to our computer at Christchurch head office for control of all stock movements and individual bin locations. A competent man is required now to complete all details of the proposed lay-out and storage facilities at Hornby and to organise and direct the transfer of stocks. Thereafter he will control all inward and outward movement of parts, the efficient operation of the warehouse. We desire to make an appointment in the 30-40 years age bracket. Experience in warehousing and control of staff is essential, together with ability to initiate and install suitable bins and racks. Experience in the use of forklifts would be an advantage. Salary will be by negotiation and a non-con-tributory superannuataion applies after a qualifying period.
