(N.Z. Press Association) MATAMATA. A. P. Fowke (Piako) won a 148-kilometre speed task, at the Rothmans national gliding championships yesterday. Fowke completed the task in 2hr 23min, which was 7min faster than the flight of the national champion, F. H. Georgeson (Canterbury). R. C. Reid (Auckland) took 2hr 38min for third placing.
