One of the most successful owners in Australian racing, Mr W. R. Kemball, has died, only 17 days after his eighty-eighth birthday. Mr Kemball had been in poor health for some time, and died in a private hospital in Burwood. He had raced horaei in Australia for 55 years, and his horses are believed to have bad 480 wins and 800 placings. They won a total of 13,000,000 in Mr kemball owned and raced almost 500 horses in Australia and New Zealand. He gained his greatest thrill in racing when Savoy gave Mm his first Australian classic victory in the $40,000 Victoria Derby at Flemington in November, 1067.
