DRIVER DIES
(Krom Our Own Reporter) WESTPORT, December 8. A motorist was burnt to death about U. 45 a.m. this morning when his car left the Westport - Greymouth coastal road on Shin’s Hill, He was Albert Forrester, aged 39, ■ married with two children, a sales representa- ; live, of 401 Bower Avenue, Christchurch. A truck driver, Mr Barry Rea, aged 19, travelling to Charleston, saw the car against a tree 20ft down the gully with Mr Forrester, the sole occupant, slumped unconscious over the wheel, Mr Rea could not get any doors open, being able to reach only one side of the vehicle. He broke a front window but could not free the driver and was forced back when the vehicle caught, fire.
