Decathlon challenge
A Sydney school teacher, G. Smith, has his eye on the Commonwealth Games decathlon championship—the title at present held by New Zealand’s R. Williams, of Auckland. Smith is confident of being chosen for the Australian team to travel to Edinburgh next year, and his closest supporters are convinced that he can compile more than the 7270 points Williams won with in Jamaica.
