Typhoid Tests Positive
N.Z. Press Association WELLINGTON, December 5. The results of the first tests on a suspected typhoid case in Wellington Hospital had proved positive, the hospital’s superintendent (Mr C. L.Tucker), said today. The patient a crew member from the Italian passenger liner Angelina Lauro, was perfectly comfortable, he said. The man had been in quarantine aboard the liner for two days before it berthed in Wellington on Monday. During the last five weeks, 11 persons with typhoid and one suspected carrier of the disease have been taken off, the ship.
