SITING OF BUILDINGS
The Christchurch Teachers' College Council on Wednesday evening approved a proposal on siting two prefabricated buildings for staff studies, a prefabricated drama workshop and a "relocatable" building for audiovisual aids at the new college at Ham. These buildings will be constructed between the main teaching block and the workshop block. There was no comment from council members. The college council also decided to ask the Education Department for permission to engage a private architect to ensure that primary division buildings comply with fire egress standards laid down by the Ministry of Works.
