CLYDE ENGINEERING DOUBLES INTERIM
Clyde Engineering, Ltd, has doubled its interim dividend to 5 per cent for the six months to September 30. Last year the company paid 2J per cent and a per cent final.
The directon said yesterday that sale* for the latest half-year were the best for four years, showing an Increase of 70 per cent over those for the corresponding period in 1088. They were confident that the trend of improving pro fits and flnancea would con tlnue.
• The dividend will be payI able on December 19, ex divir dend December 6. i The company’s fortunes t sank in 1968 when profit fell ; from 8105,394 to $36,555, but last year this was doubled to I $72,656. Airwork Div. Up Airwork (N.Z.), Ltd, earned $27,000 before tax for the six months to September 30 and will pay a 4, per cent interim dividend, compared to 3 per cent last year, when . the final payout was also 3 , per cent. The dividend is payi able on January 23: ex dlvi- . dend December 31.
