Town Hall Plans
Sir,—l share the misgivings expressed in your editorial concerning the proposed changes in the town hall scheme. A separate and central position for the library is a sound idea; but this need not induce any reduction of the concept of a town hall complex which is to stay with our city for a very long time. Is the plan to be amended detrimentally for reasons of temporary economy and expediency? Or will it leave the over-all concept equally handsome and efficient, or even more so? Interested citizens are entitled to a good long look at scale models of the alternatives.—Yours, etc., ELSIE LOCKE. October 15, 1969.
