The RNZAF needs new men to learn new skills. The fourteen new SKYHAWK fighter-bombers coming into service next year will require trained technicians of the highest calibre. So will the sixteen new HELICOPTERS. PAY and conditions in the RNZAF equal the best in outside industry. Training is often better, qualification quicker, promotion more prompt. Also, RNZAF service provides qualifying time and examination exemption in.an increasing number of civil trades, IF YOU ARE 16-18 YEARS OF AGE WITH THREE YEAR’S SECONDARY EDUCATION APPLY FOR ENTRY AS AN AIRMAN CADET. After 10 months at the Airman Cadet School, Woodbourne, trade training to an advanced stage is given over a 2Vz year period. Trades with an assured future in or out of the Service include, airframes, engines, instruments, armament, electrical, radar, radio, communications, administration, supply and accounting. Initial engagement is 8 or 12 years. Prospects are of senior NCO or commissioned rank. Full service privileges, including free accommodation and food, free medical and dental care, free initial uniform, apply from the outset.
