MILLINERY CONTEST
Judging At Addington Racing patrons wilt have added Incentive for donning their best bonnets for the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Cup meeting at Addington during Show Week. Spotters from the Millinery Association will be at the course on Cup Day, November 11, and on Show Day to select the winners of their millinery contest, held for the first time in Christchurch last year. This year, the organiser, Mrs Dawn Griffiths, will concentrate on the two racing days. There will not be a street contest. The exclusive model and ready-to-wear sections will be selected and judged on Cup Day, and the 21-and-under section on Show Day. The 10 finalists in each section will. receive prizes of perfunte. A radiogram is the first prize in the exclusive model section, and ovenware, glassware, and light fittings will be awarded to the winner of the ready-to-wear section. ' An eight-day holiday in Sydney is the prize for first place in the 21-and-under section. Ten “spotters" will circulate on the course on both days. ■
