Spread To 3 Acres
Fire spread from a burning logging contractor’s car to waste material from logging work in Eyrewell Forest yesterday afternoon. The fire spread over about three acres and was brought under control within half an hour and before damage was caused to standing timber. The fire was reported by the forest look-out officer who alerted the fire-fighting units. The car was burnt out. A patrol was maintained in the area throughout last night
