Woman Killed When Car Hits Bridge
(N.Z. Frees Association) . AUCKLAND, Oct 12. A woman was killed when the car she was travelling in struck a bridge on the Helensvtile to Parakai highway at 1.20 p.m. today and roiled over a bank. She was Mrs Silvana Codre, aged 41, of Waiobua Road, Ellerslie. John McCleary, of Ellerslie, who was also to the car, was taken tn Auckland Hospital suffering from shock and was later discharged. COLLISION A man was killed when the car he was driving and a
large trade collied in Esmond Road, Takapuna, at 8.05 p.m. today. He was Robin John Mawhlney, aged 27, single, of Norwood Road, Bayswater. Nine of 13 people travelling in and on a truck were injured when the track overturned on the corner of Sage Road and Tamaki Drive, Kohimarama, this afternoon. Miss Lynette Bock, aged 15, of Spenser Street, Remuera, was admitted to Auckland Hospital where her condition tonight was satisfactory. The other eight suffered minor injuries and after treatment, were discharged.
