DAIRY BULL SALE AT ADDINGTON
Jerseys met a much improved demand at the annual sale conducted by the Canterbury Dairy Breeds’ Association at the Addington Showgrounds last week. Of 18 lots offered. 15 were •old for an average of $127, compared with $BO for 20 sold last year. Frieattns met an easier sale. Of 25 lots offered. 15 were sold for an average of $233.30, compared with $239.60 for 15 sold last year. Three Milking Shorthorns •old from $lOO tn $l4O for an average, of $l3O, compared with an average of $107.30 for five sold last year. Friesians again provided the top prices of the sale. A bid! from E. G. Robertson, of Springston, changed: hands *t $5OO, the purchaser being A L. Riiffell, of Ohoka. E. J. Stalker and Sons, of Greenpark sold one at $450, and they had other sales at $375 and $4OO. Jerseys sold to $325, this being paid by an agent acting for a Levin buyer, for a bull from R. W.
