MOUNT COOK CABLEWAY
Inspection By Consortium Representatives of an Austrian consortium of companies which has been asked to contract with Mount Cook Cableway, Ltd, for the supply and erection of an aerial cableway from the Hermitage to the Annette Plateau, arrived in Christchurch yesterday. They will leave for Mount Cook today to complete their investigations before formulating their final offer. The leader of the party is Dr Walter Sedlaczek, of the Austrian company of Waag-ner-Biro, leader of the consortium. The others are Mr Franz Moser, an engineer and expert on cableway construction from the company of Pohlig-Hekel-Bleichert, Germany, and Mr R. Campbell, a civil engineer, of the Project Development Corporation, Sydney. During their inspection of the proposed cableway they will be accompanied by Mr S. M. Andrews, general manager of Mount Cook Cableway, Ltd, Mr N. D. Hardie, a director of the company, and Mr P. Anderson, a consulting structural and civil engineer in partnership with Mr Hardie.
