AUCKLAND MAGAZINE
Tribunal To Rule (N.Z. Press Association} HAMILTON, Oct. 13. The Auckland University capping magazine is to be referred to the Indecent Publications Tribunal. The W’aikato and King Country Press, Ltd. and East Waikato Publishers, Ltd, pleaded not guilty in the Hamilton Magistrate’s Court today to printing and publishing an indecent document. Counsel for the firms, Mr P. R. Skelton, said that if the' companies pleaded not guilty! the Magistrate, under section 12 of the Indecent Publications Act, 1963. was obliged to refer the publication to the tribunal.
Mr Skelton said the Crown Prosecutor, Mr C. Q. M. Almao, had agreed to an adjournment for two months for this purpose. . Mr T. B. Mooney, S.M„ ordered the book to be referred to the tribunal and adjourned the case to December 15.
