Richard Greager
Sir,—Heartiest congratulations to the Christchurch singer, Richard Greager, who won the highly rated “Mel-
bourne Sun” aria contest in Melbourne this week. It will be of interest to the older generation to learn that Richard Greager is the greatgrandson of Mr Millar who was one of the famous Liedertafcl quartette (Messrs Millar, March, Vincent and Cookson) whose items were always the highlight of concerts in the early part of the twentieth century. We hope the present generation will get as much pleasure from Richard’s voice as thousands did in the past from that of his great-grand-father.—Yours, etc., ECHOES OF THE PAST. October 10. 1969.
