Earlier Angus Show, Sale
(N.Z. Press Association) DANNEVIRKE, October 12. The national show and sale of led Aberdeen Angus bulls will be held two months and a half earlier than usual next year. This was an attempt to combat the lack of support the led-bull section had received from buyers and vendors at the Dannevirke national show and sale over recent years, said the president of the Angus Association (Mr J. Hickman, of Taimate, Blenheim). A meeting of the Angus council at Hastings decided to bring the led-bull show and sale ahead to early July. The association’s annual meeting will be held on July 7, after a voluntary parade of beasts that afternoon, and the national dinner will be after the sale on July 8. The judging and sale of unled run bulls will be held at the usual time of the year, on September 23.
