WESTPORT LINK WITH CAPTAIN COOK.- Mrs Heather Quinn and her son Nicholas James, who was born at Westport on October 9, exactly 200 years after Captain James Cook’s arrival in New Zealand. Mrs Quinn has a family tree which shows her to be a direct descendant of Captain Cook’s sister, Mrs Margaret Fleck.
