Paper Tigers Dominate Yachting Events

The new Paper Tiger class wasted little time making its presence felt when the Charteris Bay Yacht Club’s season began on the week-end. Yesterday, when the first race for th* Commodore'* Trophy was sailed in light to moderate north-east winds. Whisker (S. Acktand) and Marlynn (W. Tentory) filled the first two placing* on handicap; a third Paper Tiger. Intruder (E. Orange!, had previously won the opening day race on SaturPaper Tiger* were included in yesterday’* field of 24 . starter* and appear likely to prove something of a handicapper’s headache. Whisker and Marlynn started from a I4mta handicap and were pieced ahead of Erika, a jollyboat vailed by K. Ferna, Catalina (kitty eat. sailed by W. Purvis) and Klmba (cat.. R. Lloyd).
