Man Injured In Collision
Head, chest and leg injuries were suffered by Peter Young, of Clifton Spur, Sumner, when a car and a truck collided at the corner of Gloucester Street and Stanmore Road about 8.35 a.m. on Saturday. He was admitted to the resuscitation ward of the Christchurch Hospital. His condition was reported last evening as satisfactory. Mr Young was thrown out of the car and over a fence by the force of the impact Head Injuries.—Lindsay Strathdee, aged 13, of 406 Cashel Street Linwood, was admitted to the Christchurch Hospital suffering from head injuries after his cycle and a car collided at the corner of Saxon Street and Essex Street on Saturday morning.
