N.Z.CupFor Our Grace <r Tht Prest” Special Service AUCKLAND. With her decisive victory in the J.. C. Hutton Handicap at Te Rapa on Saturday, Our Grace encouraged her owners to think very seriously of an attempt on the New Zealand Cup in November. Meanwhile, the Mitchelson Cup at Ellerslie next month will almost certainly be on her programme. Being a poor traveller. Our Grave has not so far been asked to compete much outside Auckland and the Waikato. As a six-year-old this season her trainer, L. W. Ford, a partowner with Mr A. W. Temn, of Matamata, is hopeful she might be able to race more extensively. Her decided preference for left-handed racing, the Riccarton way around, is also a factor in making the trip south likelv. Her best form has been on lefthanded tracks and Te Rapa is one on which she has raced very well indeed. Last spring she won the Waikato Gold Cup from a very good field in between failing the other way around in middledistance handicaps at Avondale and Pukekohe. All told, Our Grace has had no more than a handful of races these last six months. The Button Handicap was her fifth race since she resumed in May after a spell and only her second further than a feprlnt course during that time. The other middle distance was the Taumarunui Gold Cup, in which she ran third.
