Forged Ticket
(N.Z. Press Association) HAMILTON. Detectives arrested and charged a nan with forgery shortly after the first race at the Te Kapa racecourse, Hamilton, on Saturday. Detective Senior-Sergeant R. I. Chadwick, of Hamilton, said the arrest was made when a man presented a $lO totaliaator ticket to collect a lint dividend of over $3O for $l, but no $lO ticket had been issued on the winning hone. He said the arrest followed intensive investigations during the last few weeks after a man had presented forged tickets at Gisborne, Thames, Avondale and. Cambridge. The man was paid about *l5OO for the forged tickets.
