The position calls for a person with a Second Class Marine Certificate or equivalent and possessing a wide knowledge and experience in Engineering work, which includes the maintenance and economic running of boilers, machinery, plant, steam services, hot and cold water services and electrical services The salary and conditions of employment shall be in accordance with the Hospital Employment (Engineers') Regulations. 1963. The actual salary will be determined by the Engineers* Salaries Grading Committee, but will be within scales (h) and (i) $3720 $3970 per annum. A whole-time Hospital Board employee appointed to this position, on promotion, may be granted assistance towards the cost of taking up thia appointment. The measure of assistance will be determined in accordance with the appropriate provisions of the regulations. A modern comfortable residence (3 bedrooms) is available to the successful applicant at a rental prescribed under the Regulations.
