Election Broadcasts
Sir,—ln reply to “WellRead,” I have read Richard Wurmbrand’s books and 1 have also read “Communist Propaganda.” While Richard Wurmbrand’s experiences show him to be a “living martyr," and while his questions to New Zealand Christians must have made some of them squirm, the one point 1 noted in his utterances was that whatever he had remarked about the Communist regimes could also be remarked about many anti-Communist Western regimes whose activities are all more shocking as they call themselves Christians. This correspondence is on election broadcast time, or the lack of it, in New Zealand —not about the tactics of overseas governments bearing the same party name as that of a recognised New Zealand political party. Remember F.
Voltaire: “I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it”—Yours, etc. M. O'NEILL. September 20, 1969.
