Lectures On Design In The Home
A course of six lectures on design in the home will be held by the Department of Extension Studies, University of Canterbury, beginning on September 10. The course has been planned to assist home owners to decorate for comfort, convenience, flexibility and individuality, the lecturer, Miss Ray Robins, said yesterday. It will also help homemakers to select and arrange household possessions according to the principles of design and to the best advantage. The syllabus will include discussions on interior schemes for both new and established homes. Science In Kitchens A course on home science in the kitchen will be held by the department from September 9. This course will be available for 10 weeks and the lecturer will be Miss A. F. Borrie. The aim is to help some cooks present meals of a high nutritional value, attractively served and satisfying to eat.
