Results Of Ballot (N.Z. Press Association) i WELLINGTON, August 26. ’ The ballot for national miliitary service for 19-year-olds 'and 20-year-olds was held today. Those affected by the ballot I are 20-year-olds who had birthidays between July 1,1968, and 'June 30.1969, and 19-year-olds with birthdays between September 21, 1968, and June 30, 1969.
The draw was made by the president of the Returned Services Association (Sir Hamilton Mitchell) in the presence of representatives of the Army and the Labour Department. A sufficient number of birth dates was drawn to produce a maximum of 5700 men. Those with birthdays on the following dates will be liable to military service. 1948: July 8, 17; August 6, 8, 15, 19, 24, 25, 28, 31; September 1, 10, 15, 27, 28; October 2. 4,13,16, 28; November 1,6, 8, 17; December 3,4, 13, 14, 15, 18, 20, 24, 25. 29. 1949: January 10, 20, 30; February 5,11, 16, 24; March 4, 5. 6,7, 14, 15,16, 18, 24; April 10, 17, 29, 30; May 1,4, 15, 21, 30; June 15,24; September 22, 28; October 6, 23; November 1,5, 13, 15, 23.25,27,29; December 7,18,20,22.1950: January 2,15 16, 28, 29, 30; February 1,8, 19, 25, 28: March 10, 25, 28; April 3,4, 9, 11, 12, 21, 23; May 3, 7. 9,17, 30; June 4, 23. 30.
