An improved version of the Wolseley 18/85 saloon—the Wolseley version of the British Leyland 1800—has just been released. The car was originally announced in March. 1967. • The main changes in the new version are to the interior. The front seats of the old model have been replaced by larger, contoured fullyrecliningseats with folding

arm-rests, and the rear seat has also been made deeper and more comfortable, and is fitted with a folding arm-rest. The trim on the doors has been changed, and the walnut cappings are now larger. Switches have been repositioned and all are now of the safety rocker type. The face-level fresh-air vents at either end of the dash have been repositioned to im-

prove the air flow. Th* only external change is a “Mk II" label on the bootlid. There are no engineering changes, and the 86.5 b.h.p. 1798 c.c. four-cylinder engine is retained.
