Big Property Sale In Middle Of City

Gough, Gough and Hamer, Ltd, engineers and merchants, of Hereford Street, yesterday bought the two-storey building owned by the Union Steam Ship Company, Ltd, at 168 Hereford Street.

The sale was by private treaty for an undisclosed price. The Government valuation of the property is $140,000.

T, Gough, executive director of Gough, Gough and Hamer, said last evening that the company planned to build partly on the Union Steam Ship Company’s site, and partly on the site of his own company, next door.
