Stalag 383 Reunion
The British Minister of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs (Mr Mulley) will meet 17 former prisoners of war at a special function this evening. Sixteen of the men, four Englishmen and 12 New Zealanders, spent some time in Germany’s Stalag 383, where Mr Mulley was also a prisoner. The seventeenth man, Mr D. C. C. Bailey, is secretary of the Canterbury branch of the New Zealand Ex-Prisoners of War Association. He is a former Japanese prisoner of war.
