Papua Bans Film
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) PORT MORESBY, Aug. 19. Papua-New Guinea has banned the film, “The Comedians,” based on the novel by Graham Greene. The Chief Censor (Mr Leahy) said that the film was considered undesirable. It would not be in the public interest of the territory, he said. The film depicts scenes in Haiti and shows fighting between Haitians and Europeans. Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor play the leading parts and Peter Ustinov also has a major part.
