therapist at Christchurch Hospital. The chairman for the meeting will be the chairman of the co-ordinating council (Miss B. M. Goldsbrough). Mrs Pickering said that a proposed survey of Christchurch buildings to be made by the council in conjunction with the Christchurch Bound Table would be announced at the forum. Architectural barriers for handicapped persons in relation to employment, recreation, and daily living, will be discussed at a special forum to be opened by the Mayor of Christchurch (Mr A. R. Gttthrey) in the Multiple Sclerosis Society’s hail, St Asaph Street, on September 59. The forum is being organised by the architectural barriers committee of the Christchurch Coordinating Council for the Handicapped. The convener of the committee (Mrs N. G. Pickering) said yesterday that the forum would be open to all persons, not only the handicapped. It was hoped that about 100 would attend.
The topics for discussion will be introduced by Mr B. Burton, of the Department of Labour, Mr R. McFarlane a physical education instructor at the Christchurch Teachers’ College, and Miss A. Harding, charge occupational
