Owners’ Representative
MrK. M. Forsyth, C.N. Company owners’ representative in New Zealand, sees a great and expanding future for New Zealand exports to South-East Asia and is confident that the N.Z. U.E. will play its part in fostering that expansion by providing shippers with a faster, modern service concentrating on improved cargo-handling techniques. Mr Forsyth said: In all my discussions with New Zealand’s producer boards and both large and small importers and exporters, the most striking impression has been the determination of New Zealand producers and manu. facturers to take advantage
of the growing markets for their products, and their expertise. They can rely on us to do what we can to assist them both in improving their position in their existing markets and in nurturing new opportunities. "A good practical example of how we have tried to help is the gratifying increase in New Zealand exports to Taiwan in the twelve months in which a sea link has been provided between the two countries.” Mr Forsyth, formerly fleet operations manager in C.N.Co’s Hong Kong Head Office, spent several years in Japan and Australia before being appointed as bis company’s first owners’ representative in New Zealand in January of this year He is based in Wellington in the office of the New Zealand Shipping Company.
