Ambitious Project

The Christchurch Harrier Club, which bolds the SkelJenip steeples each year, wants to hold the women’s international cr<>ss-country in 1972 to celebrate its fiftieth anniversary. The president (Mr R. F. B. Perry) said yesterday that the club did not know what expense would be involved but it was inquiring to see if it could hold the championship.

The women’s international cross-country will be held at Marylands, in the United States, next year and the Americans are prepared to pay the expenses of one member from each team entered.

“I don’t know whether we will be expected to offer the same terms,” Mr Perry said.
