Denmark has become the first country In the world to abolish all censorship for adults. And the weekly Billboards blaze, Sir, Our common, candid Taste, Since your smutty schoolboy Days, Sir, Can any Change be traced? .Whatever was naughty in Nineteen-Forty, And hasn’t been replaced. The Prurient and the Prude, Sir, Prefer their Peeps half-hidden. The semi-averted Nude, Sir, No Posture that’s forbidden, A Bin to conceal the Thrills they steal, And a Law to hold the Lid on. The Danes can do as They do, Sir. It’s not how WE behave! It’s a Local Industry, too, Sir, Whose Flag I’m proud to wave, Not selfish Enjoyment, think of Employment! And the Foreign Exchange we save!
