The dishing New Zealand-bred four-year-old Prince Medes, will try to win the tough StradbrokeDoomben Ten Thousand double when he contests the rich winter sprint at Doomben today. Only one horse in the past 27 years had managed to win both testing races—Winfreux in 1965. Prince Medes iAlcimedes— Loch Lomond) ran brilliantly two weeks ago to score narrowly in the Stradbroke HandiHe has not raced since then and has been raised six pounds to 8-7 for his success. He went well on the training tracks this week and will be hard to beat tn the Ten Thousand, over seven furlongs less 68 yards.
