Recovery For Toymaker

AUCKLAND, July 4.

Tri-ang, Pedigree (N.Z.),' Ltd (Formerly Lines Bros (N.Z.)), the Auckland toy makers, almost recovered the 1967 fall in its profit by raising earnings by $22,874 or 25.2 per cent to $113,745 in the year to December 31. ■ The dividend, cut to 7 per cent last year, has been restored at 8 per cent. It will take $50,000. The result was after less depreciation of $50,126 and more tax at $96,250. The earning rate on average funds rose from 8.7 to 10,6 per cent and that bn capital from 14.5 to 18.2 per cent. Shareholders’ funds are $57,915 up at $1,105,561, including capital of $625,000. The chairman (Mr S. J. Paul) said the company was investigating the position that would be created when the stock exchanges abolished the unlisted section next year.
