(N.Z.P.A. Staff Correspondent) SYDNEY, July 3. Whatever happened to the Hong Kong flu? That is the question medical authorities are asking in Australia as the weeks go by with hardly a sign of the virulent flu epidemic that was predicted would sweep the nation this winter. One hospital in Melbourne has isolated some strains of the virus, but in Sydney—nothing. The director of the New South Wales Health Services (Dr E. S. A. Meyers) commented: “The non-arrival of the flu is a mystery. We just don’t know when, or if, it will arrive.”
