FUTURE OF R.S.A.
Span Limited, Says Governor (N.Z. Press Association) WEfiMNGTON, June 17. The Returned Services’ Association must face the fact that in the absence of another major war its life span was limited, the GovernorGeneral (Sir Arthur Porritt) said when he opened the R.S.A. Dominion council meeting in Wellington today. “As well as major concerns for the care and welfare of its members, I was intrigued to see in the report this year that discussions will extend to organised sport, youth service and overseas welfare,” he said. The future of the association was worth preliminary consideration. “Somehow we must transmit to the young two-thirds of our population the values in life that shared experience has given to us,” he said.
