Installation In Ambulance (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, June 18. The Wellington Free Ambulance last night became the first ambulance service in New Zealand to be equipped with a heart-iung resuscitator. The equipment, described by a leading cardiologist as “the very latest in life-saving development.” will give a better survival chance for heart attack victims in the Wellington area. It will also save lives in many other circumstances where heart arrest can occur, including drowning, suffocation, electric shock and asthmatic collapses. The Wellington Lions’ Club presented the American machine to the free ambulance.
