PUBLIC NOTICES AMURI COUNTY COUNCIL IN THE MATTER of the Counties Act, UM, the Rating Act, 1967, and amendment* thereto: PUBLIC NOTICE la hereby given that the Amur! County Council at a meeting held on June 6, 1969, prepared and approved an eatimate pursuant to Section IM (21 of the Counties Act, 1958, showing for the period of 12 months, commencing on the first day of April, J 969, and ending on the Slat day of March, 1970: (1> The proposed expenditure of the said Council: (a) On Administration 12,500 <b) On County Roads and Bridges .. 210,050 (c) On other Public Works .. 00,150 $293,300 (2) The sum available for the purpose abovementioned are: (a) Credit Balance April 1. 1969 33,700 (b) Subsidies and Grants .. 119,800 (e) From Sundry receipts, rents, licence feea, etc. 26,600 3180,U0 (3) The addition sum required Is 8113,200. (6) The total capital rateable value of tbe rateable proper* ties on tbe valuation rolls is 816353,000. (5) The genera! rate thereon necessary to raise the required sum Is .Me in the 3. PURSUANT to Section 52 of the Rating Act, 1967, PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that In exercise of the powers conferred on it in that behalf, it is the Intention of the Amur! County Council at its ordinary meeting to be held at 1.30 p.m. on Friday, July 4. 1969. at the Council Chambers, Culverden to make and levy the toUowing rates and charges: (1) Under Section 105 of the Counties Act. 1956, a general rate of .08c in the 3 on the capital value of all rateable property appearing on the valuation rolls of the Amur! County. (2) Under the Counties Amendment Act. 1961, and the Amur! County Water Race By-laws: (a) A Balmoral Water Race Loan and Maintenance Amalgamated rate of .525, .262, .131 of a cent in the 3 on the capital value of Classes A. B. C, lands respectively in the Balmoral Water Race District. (b) A Walau Plains Water Race Maintenance charge of 13c per acre on all rateable land in the Walau Plains Water Race District. (3) Under Section 113 of the Counties Act. 1956. a Walau Hall Maintenance rate of .008 of a cent in the 3 on the capital value of all rateable property in the Walau and Lyndon Ridings. (4) Under Part X of the County By-laws, a charge of 33 for domestic and 36 for trade refuse removal in the Hanmer Town Area. (5) In exercise of the powers conferred on it In respect to drainage and sanitation in the Hanmer Town Area, a charge of 310 per W.C. or Urinal with the Hanmer Sewerage System. (6> In exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 118 of the Counties Act, 1956, and in pursuance of Part 22 of the County Bylaws the foUowlng water supply and maintenance charges: (a) A Hanmer Springs Water Supply Loan and Maintenance rate of .2 of a cent in tbe 3 in the Hanmer Water Supply-Area. (b) An additional charge of 15c per thousand gallons on all commercial lands and buildings in the Hanmer and Walau water supply special areas on a metered supply, for all water used in excess of 100,000 gallons per annum. (7) A Pahau Riding Amenities Rate of .022 cents in the 3 on the capital value of all rateable property in the Pahau Riding. (8) A Hanmer Springs War Memorial Hall Loan Special rate of .0146 of a cent in the 3 on the capital value of all rateable property In the Hanmer Biding. (9) (a) A Walau Township Water Supply Loan and Maintenance annual uniform charge varying from 324 to 3120 as classified for connections on all lands in the Waiau Township Water Supply Special Area. (b) Sections to which water can be connected is 34. (10) (a) A Culverden Township Water Loan and Maintenance annual uniform charge varying from 324 to 3120 as classified for all connections on all lands in the Culverden Township Water Supply Special Area. <b) Sections to which water can be connected Is 34. (11) Marlborough Catchment Board Administrative rate of .03472 of a cent in the 3 on capital value of all rateable land in the Marlborough Catchment Board District under tbe jurisdiction of the Amur! County Council. Such rates and charges to be for the period commencing on the first day of April, 1969. and ending on the 31st day of March, 1970, and shall be due and payable in one sum on the 12th day at September, 1969, at the County Office, Culverden where the valuation rolls are open for inspection during office hours.
