Billiards Surprise
The unexpected defeat of the experienced V. Cheat, by J. Linton was one of several surprise results in the opening round of the Canterbury senior billiards championship. B. Mason, a B grade player from New Brighton R.S.A., also caused an upset by beating C. Barnett (Christchurch W.M.C.) in a close finish. Results:— C. Kelly 500, L. Saunders 407: H. Mason 500, L.
