MARGIN ON PETROL
Retailers ‘Bitter’ (N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, June 16. Petrol resellers would simply have to make some profit on retail petrol sales or close, the Dominion vicepresident of the Retail Motor Trade Association, Mr S. W. B. Duncan, of Dunedin, said this morning. Commenting on the proposed one-day strike by North Island petrol stations, Mr Duncan said there was bitter feeling in the north about the procrastination by the Government and the situation had become serious. As yet, there had been no similar proposals in the South Island, where resellers preferred to “negotiate.”
