McNAB DROPPED
The New Zealand soccer captain, T. McNab (Auckland), has been dropped from the national team to play the English F.A. today, because he was not available for training on Monday and yesterday. McNab told the selectors that he had to put business ahead of other activities. The New Zealand team manager and North Island
selector, Mr D. Wallace, said: “We were placed in an invidious position. “All the players knew as far back as Monday week in Wellington what would be required of them.” McNab will be replaced by the Canterbury centrehalf, G. Griffiths, who will be making his debut in the full national team.
