Roberts saved the West Indians from an embarrassing defeat against the English Minor Counties side yesterday. Scores: Minor Counties 325/8 declared and 189/3 declared (G. Saville 55, P. Shippey 94 not out), West Indies 264 and 201/6 (C. Davis 47, J. Hendricks 69 not out, P. Roberts 35 not out; S. Young 4/48).
