Awards To Young Men
The annual Jaycee award project for “Three Outstanding Young Men” is being launched in Christchurch this week and the Jaycees chapters are, seeking nominations of young men between the ages of 18 and 40 for the award.
The convener of the South Christchurch Jaycee Chapter (Mr G. J. Low) said last evening that the award recognised a young man who was making an outstanding contribution to the community, to the nation or to his fellow man, and who had outstanding leadership and inspirational qualities. Jaycees had been organising the award for some years and had been assisted by W. D. and H. O. Wills (New Zealand), Ltd, said Mr Low. Persons wishing to forward nominations should write to the convener, “Three Out. standing Young Men,” P.O. Box 12013, Christchurch, he said.
