LETTERS TO THE EDITOR

(1) Letters sent to <ne Editor for printing should preferably be typed, otherwise they must be written in ink on one side of the paper oniy A legible signature and full address are required whether these are to be published or not APO box number is not a suffi cient address. (2) Writers must say cieariy whether or not their letters are being or have been sent to other papers. (3) The Editor cannot return or keep any letter which for any reason is unsuitable for printing: nor can he acknowledge unsuitable tetters, although this will be done where it seems to be needful, or enter into any correspondence. (4) Letters must not be of more than 150 words.

E. Blake.—Your opinion noted. A.M.D. —No space to discuss radio and television features. M. O’Neill.—Letter and reply accepted for information only. No space to discuss sports broadcasts. Seth Newell.—lt hardly needs your defence: and the writer is only one of many who have expressed a similar opinion. Harassed Ratepayer.—Will seek comment on your complaint. Your general comment is too immoderate to be taken seriously. Some Hope.—The State pays rates on State rental houses: and the rentals take these and other costs into account. Ratepayer.—We doubt whether trailers would meet today’s standards of hygiene. No doubt, the City Engineer’s Department would discuss your suggestion with you. Moo.—lf you believe your milk or cream to be below standard you should consult the appropriate treatment station, which will be prepared to analyse a sample for you.
